Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 19, 2024
Welcome to MockAPI. By accessing or using the MockAPI platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the services.
Please read these Terms carefully.
1. Introduction
MockAPI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) offers a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed to help developers generate and mock APIs for testing and development purposes. These Terms govern your use of MockAPI, including all related applications, content, and services (collectively referred to as the “Service”).
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and any future modifications. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of an organization or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind such an entity to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use MockAPI, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- Create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Be able to enter into legally binding agreements under applicable law.
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and revoke access at our discretion.
3. Services Provided
MockAPI offers two tiers of service:
- Free Plan: This plan allows limited access to the MockAPI features, including basic API generation and mocking capabilities. Usage limitations apply, which are outlined on our pricing page.
- Paid Plan: The paid subscription provides full access to MockAPI's premium features, including advanced API generation options, additional data mocking capabilities, higher usage limits, and priority support.
All features and functionality of each plan are subject to change, and MockAPI reserves the right to modify the offering at any time.
4. Account Registration and Security
You are required to register for an account to use our services. You must provide and maintain accurate, current, and complete information. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
MockAPI will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
5. Subscription and Billing
MockAPI offers a paid subscription plan on a recurring monthly basis (the “Subscription”). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees, which will be charged to your payment method on file.
- Billing Cycle: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date. You will be charged in advance for each billing period.
- Payment Method: You must provide a valid payment method, and you authorize MockAPI to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.
- Failed Payments: If a payment is unsuccessful due to issues such as insufficient funds or an expired card, we will attempt to contact you and retry the charge. If payment remains unresolved, your account may be downgraded to the free plan.
6. Cancellation and Grace Period
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Once canceled, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, after which your account will automatically revert to the free plan. You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles.
- Grace Period: If you cancel your subscription, your account will remain in a grace period until the end of the current subscription cycle. During this grace period, you will continue to have access to the paid features. After the grace period expires, your account will automatically downgrade to the free plan, and access to premium features will be restricted.
7. Refund Policy
- General Refunds: All subscription payments are non-refundable. This includes charges for any unused portion of the billing cycle following cancellation. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months or unused services.
- Exceptions: Refunds may be issued in exceptional cases at the sole discretion of MockAPI. These include instances where billing errors have occurred or technical issues have significantly impaired your ability to use the Service. Refund requests must be submitted to our support team within 7 days of the issue.
- Refund Process: Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If approved, refunds will be issued within 14 business days to the payment method used during the initial transaction.
8. Usage Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use MockAPI for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Misuse the Service by violating third-party rights or engaging in abusive practices.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Data Ownership and Privacy
- Data Ownership: All data that you generate, mock, or upload using MockAPI remains your property. By using our Service, you grant MockAPI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and store your data for the purpose of providing the Service.
- Privacy: We take privacy seriously and adhere to applicable data protection laws. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information. By using MockAPI, you consent to our collection and use of your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including but not limited to software, designs, trademarks, and content, are owned by MockAPI or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our express written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MockAPI and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Service.
12. Termination
MockAPI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or if we believe your use of the Service poses a risk to MockAPI or others.
Upon termination, all rights and licenses granted to you in these Terms will immediately cease.
13. Modifications to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, policies, or legal requirements. We will notify users of significant updates by posting the updated terms on our website. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
